BACKGROUND TO GCC 2015 UPDATE

After five years of application in construction works, the General Conditions of Contract for Construction Works, 2nd Edition, 2010 (GCC 2010) has been revised to clear up certain contract administration procedures, refine various risk appropriation clauses and has been written in an easier to comprehend style. The revised General Conditions of Contract for Construction Works, 3rd Edition, 2015 (GCC 2015) complies fully with the requirements of the CIDB for the procurement of engineering and constructions works. Conditions include the provision of a combination of supplies and services, for the development, extensions, installation, repair, maintenance, renewal, removal, renovations, alterations, decommissioning, dismantling or demolition of structures and engineering infrastructure.
