Fred Fryer
ND, MBA, DBA, Pr Tech Eng
Dr Fred Fryer started his career in 1982 as an apprentice electrician at the Alberton Municipality Electrical Department. With a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Doctorate in Business Administration, Fred Fryer Pr Tech Eng performed the function of Divisional Head: Energy Revenue (electricity technical) for a period of 15 years in the City of Ekurhuleni. He has led a diverse team of highly talented officials, and this team became instrumental in analysing every step in the electricity revenue value chain until the most efficient processes were designed and documented. The written details were captured into electronic business process management systems that safeguarded the management of large volumes into unchangeable standard processes. Close cooperation with Finance officials ensured that Energy aided Finance in achieving optimum collection levels. Dr Fryer can now share the wealth of knowledge accumulated in this field.
