Getting Acquainted with Road Construction and Maintenance
The Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) in partnership with SAICE Professional Development & Projects (SAICE-PDP), invites you to attend this 2-day course which aims to help attendees who are either entering or currently working in the area of road construction and maintenance.
Attend this course and learn about:
- Various aspects of road construction and maintenance from commencement to completion of building a road and the importance of maintenance thereafter.
- Understanding the technical elements, quality assurance, systems, processes, new technology and sustainability
- Understanding the different types of surfaces used in road construction, defects, rehabilitation and materials for construction and maintenance.

- ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) and carries 2 CPD credits.

Please note the following requirements:
- Delegates are responsible to ensure that they have sufficient data to cover the full duration of the online course.
- According to the ECSA requirements for online training, a compulsory online assessment must be completed.
- To receive a CPD certificate a 75% pass mark is required. Less than 75% will result in an attendance certificate which can be submitted for IPD.
Our Facilitator
Theuns Eloff
BIng(Civil)
Theuns completed his BIng(Civil) degree at the Rand Afrikaans University and started his engineering career as a civil contractor. He was involved in the construction, rehabilitation and resurfacing of roads and has extensive experience in major earthworks, construction of dams, open cast mines and contract management.
